They explain it on their site; they don't spend alot of money on packaging, so no mirrors in the eyeshadows and shipping is just in a plain brown box, nothing fancy. Also, they explained that they make, package and ship the makeup from ONE base, so it costs less (less employees, less room to rent etc) , unlike high-end brands who let's say, make the makeup in one factory, send it off to another factory to package then another to ship, which they would need to pay for the employees in each and the room. Because they're made by elves, who unfortunately are treated as second-class citizens in most of the world and thus not paid adequately or given health benefits. Go to the elfish neighborhood in your town, and see how much suffering and poverty there is thanks to this unforgivable racism.
ingredients used are cheaper and lesser quality, its mainly aimed at the teen market. also packaging is not of good quality. you get what you pay for, i've tried their brushes and sadly they didnt live up to my Mac ones. so that sums it up.
Hmm..perhaps other cosmetics are over pricing?
becuase they don't spend so much money advertising, so they can keep low prices
