Why Are These Expensive, Quality Skincare products and Cosmetics Being Sold For So Cheap?
I love quality skincare and I found these sites among others, that offer really expensive skincare products for nearly half the price!? I called the rosejoyce people to ask ';what's the catch'; and laughed and said that there wasn't one; however I'm still skeptical. Do you all think its legit?
I ordered some peptox serum at rosejoyce for $26 that sold at Bee royal cosmetics for 65$!
I also buy dermalogica from whatgreatskin for alsmost 30 dollars less than a salon tried to charge me!

Yes, it is legit. Most everything can be found cheaper online, if you look hard enough. Just like TJMaxx and Ross can sell the same suit you buy in a Mall store for half the price, these websites buy quantity wholesale of an item and don't mark it up as much. You may also want to check on eBay and amazon for your favorite items. The only suggestion I would have is to make sure the items shelf date is still good. Sometimes mass quantities are sold cheaply when an item is near it's expiration date. But, other than that, I would certainly recommend that you SAVE your money for other enjoyments and buy where you get the best price on the item you want.

Bee Royal Cosmetics (don't sell to Australia as far as I know so I'm just presuming) probably don't sell as many products as rose joyce and are forced to raise their prices to cover their costs and still be profitable or they consider themselves to be a premium or prestige brand and can sell products at a higher price because it donates status and quality. I wouldn't be so quick to call it a scam!!

Maybe, to test your theory, get a coloured liner of eyeshadow from each brand. Test the texture of it, how long it stays during the day and the amount of pigments (colour) in them. But I think that they probably are the same. Thats why I usually buy high street makeup. My advice to you is to visit a charity shop. I work in one and we have about 30 cosmetic bags upstairs and not on the shop floor as we just don't have the room. Most of these are brand new with their tags on and would sell for between 99p-£3.00 depending on size and quality. I have covered other branches and they are all the same. You can always decorate it with stickers, etc or personalise it in other ways.

So why do people buy from airport vendors? The reason is because they are Duty free that way. What that means is that if you are an international traveler, you have restrictions put on you of how much stuff you can take back with you into your home country from an outside country. In some places, depending on the country, this isn't very much. I know for China, if you are not a Chinese citizen, you can't bring more than $500 USD worth of gifts, products, etc into china. So, if you bought it at the airport, it wouldn't count towards this total. That is the only advantage of buying the higher priced items thru duty-free.
So, unless you are an international traveler, I recommend you buy the products you want from the mall instead of the airport.Is it cheaper to buy cosmetics from the airport than the city ?

flying out of the sydney airport mac is much cheaper (more so then other makeup brands), but i don't think they have a counter flying in.

The Hong Kong airport's MAC is ridiculously expensive (compared to the US). In all airports, cosmetics are crazy except in the Duty-Free stores. Only iPods and stuff are cheaper in Hong Kong as far as I know.
I don't know about Heathrow, but since MAC is never in Duty-Free, I wouldn't buy it in an airport. MAC Cosmetics sold in Australian dept. stores like Myer are also overpriced, and it's just not worth it with the rising Aussie dollar.
IMO, buy from Ebay :) Or get it online from a makeup site (strawberrynet.net had discounted MAC Studio Fix for awhile, but it sold out...but they might get more soon!)

we have mac here in australia, you can find it at most shopping centers. however it's much more expensive then in the US at least (lipstick $35).
flying out of the sydney airport mac is much cheaper (more so then other makeup brands), but i don't think they have a counter flying in.

The Hong Kong airport's MAC is ridiculously expensive (compared to the US). In all airports, cosmetics are crazy except in the Duty-Free stores. Only iPods and stuff are cheaper in Hong Kong as far as I know.
I don't know about Heathrow, but since MAC is never in Duty-Free, I wouldn't buy it in an airport. MAC Cosmetics sold in Australian dept. stores like Myer are also overpriced, and it's just not worth it with the rising Aussie dollar.
IMO, buy from Ebay :) Or get it online from a makeup site (strawberrynet.net had discounted MAC Studio Fix for awhile, but it sold out...but they might get more soon!)

I am thinking of brand name lines of deodorants after shave lotions and such. It depends on what you want. Eyeliners the same in my opinion, But everything else I think Brand Name IS better. One day I was trying to find black eye shadow[don't worry, I'm out of that emo phase] and all the brands looked like shimmer or grey when i applied it. I went to Sephora, however and tried there Urban Decay black eye shadow and it was amazing! It turned out pitch black. Foundation is also very important to me and your can tell the difference with the texture. drugstore brands seem to be a little sticky while the ones at Sephora are soft and creamy.
I think a brand of toiletries may be a little silly however unless you sweat a lot and drugstore brands don't suit what you want. Shave lotions...I'm not sure about that one, I'm pretty happy with my Target brand. But face wash i will splurge because you really do see a difference [I used to have acne] with Clinique.

I know there are alot of areas that may have some type of clinic for the uninsured. Your best bet is to try to find something like that, or even a Dental College, sometimes they will do work at a reduced rate, for their schooling. Rimmel is pretty cheap, as is Max Factor. They have great mascaras. Also, Wet 'n' Wild had made an amazing comeback with wonderful products as well. New York Color is also very awesome. These are all cheap and cruelty-free.

'me me me' is great too, they have it in superdrug (some products are on the superdrug website, loads more in store) they have some copies of bourjois and beneFit products that are easily as good, and they cost less.

Try asos in the beauty: cosmetics section. they have a few bargains, and their brand 'lizzie' is good and a bargain. 'me me me' is great too, they have it in superdrug (some products are on the superdrug website, loads more in store) they have some copies of bourjois and beneFit products that are easily as good, and they cost less.
lots of magazines have 20% off asos offers now and then, and superdrug gives you 10% off if you fill in a quick survey online. so choose your favourites, and stock up when they're having an offer!

You could go to Coastalscents.com and purchase the 88 palette for around $30 or so.. You have soo many looks you can do with this palette (there are HUNDREDS upon hundreds of tutorials on this palette on Youtube).. eyelipsface.com has very cheap products.. not always good quality, but not bad for the price you pay. Ive also found NYXCOSMETICS.COM... They are pretty dang cheap and the quality of their products is amazing. I purchased some eyeshadow/eyeliner sticks (it helps when doing makeup, I learned it on youtube!) and they were $3.00 a piece.. so they are very cheap. I also just recently found a website where you can get MAC pigment (there are 107 colors to choose from!) and shadow samples for like $3.00 which is AMAZING!!!! That website is www.shopallbeauty.com .. You will DEFINITLEY not find samples from MAC anywhere near that cheap! Remember though, they are samples.. so you wont be getting the full size version.
